The Ultrasonic CAVitation Processing Lab (CAV-iT) was established by Professor lakovos Tzanakis in 2017. CAV-iT serves fundamental and applied research with core activities ranging from multifunctional materials (aluminium, thermoplastic composites and 2D nanomaterials) to engineering emulsions (oil/water, self-lubricating alloys), ultrasonic atomization and materials' cavitation resistance (steels, thermal coatings).
