A systematic characterization and comparison of cavitation development in three liquids (water, ethanol, glycerol) with significantly different physical properties showed that their behaviour is regulated by their physical parameters, i.e., vapour pressure, surface tension, viscosity etc. that play a decisive role in the establishment of the cavitation regime.
